Voltarol (Diclofenac) is used as a pain reliever in patients who have inflamed tendons, joint pain, tension of ligaments, contusions, muscle and back pain and arthritis. The medicine has an apparent anti-inflammatory, pain relieving and anti-fever effect.
Conditions which could be treated with Voltarol(Diclofenac):
acute arthritis of various genesis (including gout);
Chronic arthritis, especially rheumatic arthritis(chronic polyarthritis);
juvenile rheumatoid arthritis;
ankylosing spondylitis (Bechterew’s disease) and other inflammatory spinal diseases;
arthrosis and spondylarthrosis (inflammation at degenerative joint and spinal diseases);
rheumatism of soft tissues;
post-surgical and posttraumatic painful edemas and inflammations.
The common Diclofenac dosage for adults is 25-50 mg 2-3 times a day. The frequency of taking the medicine depends on the form of medicine, severity of the inflammatory process and may vary from 1 to 3 times a day. Side effects of Diclofenac usually affect digestive organs and manifest as nausea, vomiting or weight loss.
