Casodex (Bicalutamide) is an oral treatment for disseminated prostate cancer and locally invasive  non- metastatic  prostate cancer in cases when castration or other  medical intervention are inacceptable.     Prostate cancer is one of the most common tumorous diseases in men.  The risk of development prostate cancer rises with age.  Prostate cancer in young men is a rare condition, but since 45 years old the diseases incidence growth in geometric al progression reaching by the age of 70 the rate of 30-40%.  This means that the sickness rate in old age is maximal.  The death rate from prostate cancer makes up 4% of all deaths from malignant pathologies. Patients with renal insufficiency or minor compromised liver function do not require special dose adjustment.
Casodex (Bicalutamide) side effects :the medicine is well-tolerated by most patients, only rare cases have been known when the treatment with Casodex was interrupted due to side effects caused by the medicine.
